We can support you during your birth at home or in our LUNATA center in Bertrange.

Pregnancy

Managing a physiological pregnancy is the responsibility of a midwife. We appreciate the most individual care possible in a pleasant atmosphere.

Prenatal consultations include different measures such as listening to the child's heartbeat, blood pressure, blood and urine tests and, if necessary, a vaginal examination and a CTG (Cardio Toco Gram).

Ultrasound checks are carried out with your trusted gynecologist.

Conditions for support and out-of-hospital delivery

  • to be in a good health
  •  have a physiological pregnancy
  • present a normal morphological ultrasound of the baby
  • having a baby in cephalic presentation
  • gestational age of the baby of more than 37 weeks of pregnancy.

In the event of a possible risk, we will decide during a joint interview whether a home birth is advisable.

Birth

During your labor you will be followed by your midwife who you know and who followed you during your pregnancy. For the moment of birth a second midwife will be present.

The midwives offer you individual support which allows you to detect pathological signs and organize, if necessary, a transfer to the hospital in good time.

In the event of an emergency, the midwife has the skills required to stabilize the condition of the mother or newborn and has emergency equipment and medications.

Postnatal follow-up

Your postnatal support is taken care of by a midwife from the center. She will come to your home to guide you through the new stage of your life and will provide, among other things, the recommended neonatal tests and analyses.

We advise you to first contact a pediatrician of your choice.
